About Chevening

Chevening is the UK government’s international awards scheme aimed at developing global leaders.

Funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organisations, Chevening offers two types of award – Chevening Scholarships and Chevening Fellowships.

Chevening

Chevening were working with their design partner Webb and Webb and they came to us with the need to develop their new site, their existing site was running okay, but they really wanted to take things to the next level and of course make sure everything working well on mobile and tablets. We worked very closely with their design team and produced a stonking site that they are over the moon with.

Crazy flexibility

One of the core items required on the site was to cater for their wide ranging content, from galleries to video interviews, country specific pages to general forms and everything in between.

To mage this we created a flexible management system that allowed the publishers to use any of their required elements in any order on the page with staggering simplicity.

That ease of use has given their publishers a very free reign compared to what they were used to and has made the content of the site really shine.

This allows each country to structure their content accordingly to make sure what's needed is there, and what's not doesn't get in the way of the message.

"A fantastic example of a site that meets the clients and publics needs exactly and works fantasitclly well on all devices. A huge step up for them and glad to be a part of it." - Vince Rowe, London Design Works.

Features

Country pages

For each country that Chevening operate in they have their own dedicated landing page, that links to local social sites as well as bringing in content specifically for that country as well as any global items which Chevening want to share with everyone.

Blogs, events and news.

Up to date relevant content is key to the sites success with the students views and understanding of what's being offered, the content publishers are spread around the globe and know that their posts will be shown front and center to those wanting to see it, and still accessible to those in other countries if needed.

Smart systems

When a site has this many visitors being able to control the output of content is vital, but so is managing requests coming in. All forms on the site direct requests based on a number of factors to help make internal management easier and responses that much quicker.
