The problem
Big Green Factory is one of the leading online retailers of eco-friendly fashion and lifestyle products, and offers ethical business solutions to charities and non-profits. It wanted a bright, bold site to show off its products, and an open-source platform built by local people fitted its ethos.
The design, from its agency Styles Webbin, deliberately pushed conventions. But Big Green Factory was clear that the site still had to be a powerhouse for sales.
What we had to solve
Bold design, solid store
An unconventional design had to be built pixel-perfect without getting in the way of buying.
International customers
Buyers outside the UK needed to understand prices without leaving the page.
Confidence to buy
Customers needed to see exactly what they were getting before they ordered.
Staff and customers both
Clear reports for staff and welcoming, readable emails for customers mattered just as much.
What we built

We built the Drupal store alongside Styles Webbin, matching an unusual design to the pixel. Then came the small details that help sales: a currency converter beside every product for international buyers, and product photos that scale from thumbnail to print-on-your-wall size.
Behind the scenes, staff get clear, concise reports, and customers get order emails that are as easy to read as the site.
Pixel-perfect build
An unconventional agency design delivered exactly.
Currency converter
Prices in the buyer's currency beside every product.
Large product imagery
From thumbnail to full detail, so buyers know what they're getting.
Reports and emails
Clear reporting for staff and readable order emails for customers.

The outcome
A store that looks like no one else's and still works hard as a shop. More confidence at the product page means better conversion, and international buyers aren't left doing currency sums.
