Look at the job titles
The categories no longer look like a masthead. Alongside writers and editors are data analysts, audience developers, events specialists, insight teams and people working on AI. That is what a publishing team looks like now, and it matters for anyone building the tools those teams use every day.
The future of publishing depends on talented people and the opportunities we create for them to thrive. — Sajeeda Merali, PPA
A CMS designed only for editors now has to serve colleagues who need clean data on what readers do, reliable tagging that audience teams can segment on, and events and subscriptions that sit on the same reader record. Congratulations to this year's winners. The platforms they work on should be as good as they are.
