The UoL needed a full redesign and replacement of their existing system.

They came to us for our Drupal engineers as the new CMS needed to tie in with a historic database system, and it needed to work, perfectly.

Working with the University to bring their systems up to speed and to give them the tools needed for helping todays students find accommodation.

Property detail with classic features, as well as the adavanced search filters students need to tune their property needs.

The brief

To replace their existing student property website, with a new fully responsive design targeted to students search needs as well as the property landlords.

The site had to be fast, responsive, easy to use, offer radius searching and have auto lookup locations that included all the UoL campuses.

The old system also had a historic database that needed to be kept, our task included keeping a live link to that system but brining the data over into a more modern system that could be cached and tuned for performance.

The result

The new site is far more responsive to use, has a lot more features including all the core requirements and extra items we were able to put in on request prior to launch. The Landlords have been able to keep using the system they are used to, while the new site is able to grab that data and store it in a more performance orientated system.

The site can now have fully trackable and easily manageable adverts, which is an important aspect for a free student help / resource site such as this.

The feedback from the University departments has been incredibly encouraging and very insightful, we are looking forward to continuing our work with the University and launching the next project soon.
